The Challenge

To create a series of videos for AOL’s parenting channel ‘Parentdish’, to reflect their funny, frank and straightforward tone.

The Idea

In this series of humorous and honest videos from Scorch Films, we reveal the truth about being a parent. And who better to introduce the joy, wonder, shock and awe of what it is to be a parent than genuine mums and dads ready to spill the beans? For ‘Parenting… The Truth’, we interviewed parents from a range of backgrounds across eight entertaining episodes. From pregnancy to the terrible teens and everything in between, the result is a warm and wonderfully witty series of films. Shot on the Canon C300 with a naturalistic lighting setup, the interviews were cut to create an inclusive conversational feel, reflecting the tone of the Parentdish website.
